How to Choose the Right Hospital for Treatment Abroad
By Travel4Treatment Team — Hospital Relations

The Importance of Hospital Accreditation
International accreditation is your first quality filter. Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation is the gold standard, signaling that a hospital meets rigorous patient safety and care quality standards. All 13 hospitals in our Travel4Treatment network hold JCI or equivalent accreditation.
Specialization Matters
Not all hospitals are equal in every specialty. When choosing a hospital, look for one that specializes in your specific procedure. A hospital that performs 1,000 knee replacements per year will typically have better outcomes than one that performs 50.
Questions to Ask
Before committing to a hospital, ask these critical questions:
- How many times has the surgeon performed this specific procedure?
- What is the hospital's success rate for this procedure?
- What post-operative care is included?
- Is there a dedicated international patient department?
- What languages does the medical team speak?
